"CONCRETE ANGELS"

She walks to school stoutheartedly
Nobody knows what she's holdin' back
Wearin' the same fiendish aura she wore yesterday
She hides the bruises with linen and lace

A woman wonders but she doesn't ask
It's hard to see the pain behind the mask
Bearing the burden of a secret storm
Sometimes she wishes she was never born

Through the wind and the rain she stands hard as a stone
In her world that she can't rise above
But her wishes and beliefs give her wings

And she flies to a place where she's loved

Somebody cries in the middle of the night
The neighbors hear, but they turn out the lights
A fragile soul caught in the hands of fate
When morning comes it'll be too late

You were known for being hard as a stone just like her
She didn't even care about you
Never did she expect that among all
You'll gonna be the one to make her stand tall

Despite of being known as stone-hearted and tactless
A loving and understanding "you" beats deep within that frozen heart
That love, care and understanding you've given
Made all her beliefs and wishes, into reality be driven

But as dire as she was, she threw you burning as hell words
Fire words, you can hardly bring into the past
That happiness she felt for being loved,
Turned into an nth longing for the forgiveness she can't have

Now her days that used to bloom
Turned into a gloom that makes her so doomed
That frozen heart of yours became so coarse
Coarse enough that it turned like a mad lion's loudest roar

A woman who doesn't seem to care
A child who was made to be a good one  by her
Until she made a mistake that you cannot forgive
That makes you both having that heart cold as ice and hard as a rock

A statue stands in a shaded place, an angel girl with an upturned face
A name is written on a polished rock, a broken heart that the world forgot

Because of a mistake, because of hate,
All the good memories vanished, a misery like you were both punished
